Spellers Center Tampa works with nonspeaking and minimally speaking individuals with autism, apraxia, cerebral palsy, and other motor challenges who have intact cognitive abilities but struggle with speech production. During our Intake and Motor-Sensory Assessment, we evaluate each person's motor skills, motor planning, and communication potential to determine if the Spellers Method is the right fit. We believe every nonspeaking person has a voice waiting to be discovered.

Communication Partner Training at Spellers Center Tampa teaches family members, caregivers, and educators how to support spelling-to-communicate practice at home and in daily life. Our trainers show partners how to set up the environment, recognize motor cues, provide appropriate support, and encourage independence as motor skills develop. This training is included in our programs because consistent at-home practice is essential for breakthrough communication progress.
